High-Pressure Pneumatic / Hydraulic 10,000 psi 36 mL Bottle

Permatex Pneumatic/Hydraulic Sealant (PTX-54540) is a single-component, high-viscosity anaerobic pipe sealant that locks and seals high-pressure fluid power systems with tapered fittings. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Contains no fillers or particles, so it won't contaminate fluid systems, foul valves, or clog fine filters and screens. Pressure resistance 10,000 psi, operating range -65 to +300°F (-54 to +149°C), parts return to service in 4 hours at 75°F (22°C). Easy disassembly with standard hand tools.

Five Key Strengths of 545

Purpose-built

For high-pressure fluid power

An anaerobic pipe sealant designed to lock and seal high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems with tapered fittings.

Clean

No fillers or particles

Unlike traditional pipe-sealing materials, contains no fillers or particles - won't contaminate fluid systems.

Valve-safe

Won't foul valves or clog filters

No PTFE-tape shreds or solids to migrate downstream and foul valves or clog fine filters and screens.

High Pressure

10,000 psi pressure resistance

Pressure resistance of 10,000 psi after 24-hour cure at 75°F. Excellent solvent resistance for high-pressure fluid power systems.

Serviceable

Easy disassembly

Releases with standard hand tools even after long service - keeping fittings easy to maintain and reassemble.

HOW TO USE

How to Use

1

Shake well / clean surfaces

Shake container well before use. Clean surfaces to be sealed with Permatex Brake & Parts Cleaner.

2

Apply to male threads

Twist off the white overcap and snip the nozzle to the desired size opening. Apply sealant to male threads in sufficient quantity to fill all engaged threads.

3

Assemble and wrench tighten

Assemble and wrench tighten as normal. The product works best in thin bond gaps.

4

Return to service in 4 hours

Parts may be returned to service in 4 hours when cured at 75°F (22°C). For maximum pressure and solvent resistance, allow 24 hours for full cure before pressurizing.
